Walnut Woods

The buds are budding, the creeks are flowing and a chorus of birds awaits you at Walnut Woods Metro Park at 6723 Lithopolis Road.

There are multiple trails from a half-mile to 2.6 miles in length, all pet-friendly (leashes, please) so you can have a great day with your best buddy. And, there are spacious dog parks – one is  3-acres for dogs over 20 lbs. and another 1-acre park for small dogs with a shade shelter and picnic table. There’s even a doggie pool and agility training features!

Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the breeze under cover in the shelter area or at tables by the playground. There are bright, clean bathroom facilities.

Walnut Woods is a ‘carry in – carry out’ park. There are no trash receptacles so bring a bag with you so you can take your trash with you when you leave.
