Included on the tour is Lancaster’s Firehouse #1. The firehouse opened its doors on July 17th, 1899 and is celebrating its 125th year of service in 2024! It is one of the oldest firehouses in the state that is still operational and also includes a museum. The museum holds some amazing artifacts from Lancaster’s firefighter history.

The Georgian Museum will feature two new exhibits: the Fairfield County History Exhibit and the Fairfield County Fashion Exhibit. The history exhibit is located on the lower level of the museum and is a brand new, permanent feature. It displays Fairfield County history from the Ice Age to the 1970s and is full of local artifacts and information. The fashion exhibit will be in place for the month of June and feature local dresses and other fashion from the mid 1800s and mid 1900s. These will be must-see exhibits and great for all ages.
